Today is your day, Governor Eliot Spitzer. You will be getting sworn into office today, and it will be your day to turn around New York. A generation's hopes are pinned on you and we need to get New York turned around in the right direction. You are the man who can make New York great once again.

It will not be an easy challenge. You will have to fight some tough fights and have to with the many mundane but important issues that plague Albany in your fight for greatness. Yet, it will not only be your acts that are important but how you inspire our state to do truly great things. It will be your word, your inauguration that will bring greatness back to our state.

I will be putting much of my hopes on you. I want to see the reforms you have promised to me and all other New Yorkers happen. I want to see something so great, so hopeful that will forever change my life and the many others that sit in a similar crossroads in their lives. I want to ask god for his help in you turning New York and making it truly great.

I could list the things I want you to get done in Albany. But at this point it's all irrelevant and frivolous. I just want New York to be great. You are the man to do it. I believe in you, and today is your first day. It is day one. Now produce.
