Live Free or Die

It's New Hampshire's state motto (as controversal as it might be). It's the theme of the conclusion of Easy Rider.

Is it the motto we should all live our lives by? Sorta like Live and let Live, in other words, leave me alone, let me do my own thing, and you can do your own thing.

I came across this idea when reading Radical Center tonight, and was thinking about it.

Are our societal norms vastly outdated and outmoded—so much that they pose a threat to our very existant? We live in a society where law and red tape seem to dominate so much of it.

How the heck can we live like that? In a dieing society, that's trying to put their trip on us? (I guess that's a farber-isk idea).

Maybe the wildreness is the only place that is free, yet I have to ask, is it really? Even in a non-human world, there are norms that have to be followed.

At least there aren't terrorists up there, like those in the city. I guess they claim the automobile has destroyed the city, but I have to disagree—it's the terrorists.

So maybe the only way to be free in a society of terrorists is to die. I don't know. That sure is a negative message though.
