Imagine for a minute that people where just animals. We weren't some kind of god, something more special then the rest of the world. That our role in society was not to dominate but to live in harmony with the rest of the world. I think that's what god would have wanted.
Yet, too often we seem to think of us as some mystical creature, who can harnass our science and ability to do things contray to what we should do. We have great technology and ability, but we must also use restraint, and understand our limits as only one organizism in a great world.
God gave us special capacities, but he did not intend for us to go beyond where we should be. After all, we are dual citizens with our own lives in the less then perfect world on earth, and the more perfect world that god gave us.
Why can't we find a more natural way to live? Why aren't more of us directly connected with the farm and land, that gives us all that we need to sustain. We can't afford to con1tinue our rape and plunder of mother earth, that we all love so much.
